Treatments

Every patient and condition is treated as an individual case and we use a variety of treatments:

Manual therapy – this hands on therapy incorporates soft tissue massage, soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilisation and joint manipulation

Electrotherapy – we use ultra sound, interferential therapy, combined therapy, Laser, TENS, Traction and posture alignment

Exercise prescription – we can provide patients with access to specially tailored exercise programmes.  This can either be online or via a printed schedule with photos and instructions for how to perform each exercise correctly.

We provide both prehab exercises for the prevention of injuries and also rehab exercises to help with recovery following injury.  We also provide strengthening, stretching, conditioning, balance, co-ordination and fine control programmes.

Advice and self management – we give patients lots of advice on how they can look after themselves at home and how they can help prevent further injury.

“Very welcoming therapists who were obviously very knowledgeable and skilled”

What to expect

On your first visit please come equipped with any case notes, doctors’ letters, scan results, MRIs and Xrays.

Please allow up to 60 minutes for an initial appointment. In the first part of the session we will take a full patient history to better understand the nature of the issue that has brought you to us.

Please wear suitable clothing when you come for your treatment. It is helpful for you to bring shorts to change into if you have a problem with your leg. Depending on the reason for your visit, you may be asked to undress down to your underwear so that we can see the area requiring treatment. Modesty towels are provided and you are welcome to bring someone with you if that makes you more comfortable.

We will always use hands on treatment where appropriate and you are welcome to see the same physiotherapist each time you come.

If you are not satisfied with your first consultation and treatment then we won’t charge you for the session.

“Many thanks for the excellent management and care you provided over the weeks. It truly is a benchmark in terms of professionalism and excellence. I remain most grateful to you.”
